Brigade: Kill At Will (vol.1 mixed by Project Pat)

Originally the idea was to create a fictional supporters group. It’s been over a year and half in the works… and as of today, “Brigade” comes to life. This little movement will focus on our musical inspirations, also inspired by supporters group stories and historicle events. Every month, starting today, we will release “mixtapes/podcasts/downloads”. Some more good stuff in the works, so please stay tuned. Much love to Project Pat for the mix.

The much inspring Week 5 match programme done by Mark Regimbal was chosen as the cover of this very first mixtape.

Bryan Flynn on Dithers DVD

You never know who’s behind a logo. Jano, Patterson and JB will love this one. It’s a little ghetto, I filmed it off my laptop and put it on YouTube.

Be patient homies, at 2 minutes and 25 seconds, you might stare at the screen with your mouth open.

Yup…

DB is sad, and so is Edwin

Coming straight out of Buxton (near Sheffield), Edwin joined the RFC this past fall and had an immediate impact on the club. He’s is an amazing person, super friendly and a great footballer. Before my injury, I enjoyed playing with him because it was fun for me to use his speed, I’d place the ball and he’d be there. I admire his style, Edwin provokes the opponent, and he creates opportunities for his team.

Edwin is a diehard David Beckham fan. I feel bad for him because Beckham’s career is at a questionable stage. Here is a description of the recent injury that happened in Milan:

“The Achilles tendon runs from the calf muscles (Gastrocnemius and Soleus) at the back of the lower leg and inserts in at the back of the heel. The Achilles tendon can tear as a “partial rupture” or a “total rupture”. A total rupture is more common in older men who are recreational athletes. It sometimes occurs following a history of inflammation or degeneration of the tendon.”

According to me, David Beckham over worked his body by playing in MLS and SERIE A and TEAM ENGLAND. He had no real resting time. In modern day football, training is intense and the matches even more than the previous decades. Rest is a priority. I believe that at the age of 34, “DB” should have been more careful. It’s sad because he worked really hard in order to make it to the World Cup.

‘Pele’ Limited Edition Books Available for $3,000-$11,000

Damn… released in 2006… the 1970 squad has signed it… damn… except for Garrincha of course…

“‘Pelé’ book from Gloria Books Ltd. is the luxury, large-format limited edition version of the new, official autobiography by Pelé. The giant, 720-page tome (including gatefolds) finally does justice to his extraordinary life. Two years have been spent researching, sourcing, interviewing, and ultimately producing the greatest ever soccer book. It is limited to a worldwide edition run of 2,500 units only. It includes an introduction and unique, new autobiographical material from the man himself, plus a special tribute to Pelé by Joseph ‘Sepp’ Blatter, President of FIFA. Finally, each numbered copy is personally hand-signed by Pelé. This is a genuine high-value, long-term investment in a piece of soccer history.”

“Of the 2,500, 2,100 will sell for $3,000. Another 250 are priced at $3,750 because the photographer Marvin Newman signed his 16-by-20-inch picture of Pelé in Central Park in 1975. “The last 150, priced at $11,000 and signed by the surviving members of Brazil’s World Cup-winning 1970 team, have sold out“, said Gloria Books publisher & CEO Ovais Naqvi.”

Frontpage!

The Ringleaders made it on the front page of TOTALCAMPO.

FIRST, SIXTH. THEN, THE WORLD.
Unwilling to watch the playoff train leave them stranded, RFC 2 put their collective heads down and made a mad dash for it to earn their shot at the big times.

“The struggling B Division side got an uncharacteristically early lead and toughed it out against a very physical FC Brossard squad to ultimately come out with a 4-2 win, leaving division hopefuls Real Montreal stranded at their coattails just a week before the playoffs.

POTG: Intermittent goal scorer Joas Trepanier got the first half equalizer and the insurance finisher with Brossard fighting back in the second to give his squad the victory.”

Support your colors

Growing up, I quickly learned the rules of the game. My much older cousin George was contagious with the football plague. Me and Dr.Football officially became Olympiakos fans at the age of 5.

After visiting Greece, I met my uncle Petros, a huge Olympiakos fan, and learned everything about the club. Me and Dr. Football became serious Olympiakos supporters by the age of 8. We’ve never looked back or thought otherwise ever since then. We wore red and refused to sport anything yellow (AEK) or green (Panathinaikos).

To make it clear, The Ringleaders are in Black, White and Blue.

That’s Harry’s bike right there… peep the colors, yup.

As a teenager, I learned more about “supporters groups”. I am no hooligan but when I assisted my first Olympiakos match in October 1999, I did however, become a fanatic. The “Gate 7” is completely insane.

Last year, I met a really talented kid named Guillaume Morissette. He knits toques. We became friends and eventually exchanged gifts. I gave him a “No Pity” scarf, and he matched our blue flipping me a sweet RFC color inspired hand knitted toque. Thanks again Guillaume.
